Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment. Duties
- Prepare patients for surgical procedures by conducting pre-operative assessments and ensuring all necessary documentation is complete.
- Assist surgeons during operations by providing instruments, supplies, and support as needed.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition during surgery, responding promptly to any changes.
- Implement discharge planning by educating patients and their families about post-operative care and recovery.
- Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Document all patient interactions, procedures performed, and any changes in patient status accurately in medical records.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Skills
- Proficient knowledge of anatomy and surgical procedures.
- Experience in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) nursing is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is a plus.
- Strong skills in pain management techniques and botulinum toxin treatment administration.
- Competence in venipuncture and other essential nursing procedures.
- Ability to provide compassionate patient care in both clinical settings and home care environments.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
