Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Scrub Tech to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are sterile and ready for use.
- Assist surgeons and other medical personnel during operations by providing instruments and materials as needed.
- Maintain accurate medical records related to surgical procedures and patient care.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure patient safety and comfort before, during, and after surgery.
- Adhere to strict aseptic techniques to prevent infection and ensure a sterile environment.
- Participate in the cleaning and sterilization of surgical instruments post-procedure.
- Stay updated on hospital policies, procedures, and best practices within the medical-surgical field.
Skills
- Proficient in aseptic technique to maintain sterile environments during surgeries.
- Knowledge of hospital medicine practices, particularly in a Level II Trauma Center setting.
- Familiarity with medical records management systems to document patient care accurately.
- Strong understanding of anatomy relevant to surgical procedures.
- Experience working in pediatric intensive care units (PICU) or operating rooms (OR) is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with surgical teams and nursing staff.
