Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assisting surgical teams during procedures, ensuring a sterile environment, and providing high-quality patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, aseptic techniques, and the ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.

Duties

• Prepare the operating room by setting up surgical instruments and equipment.
• Assist surgeons and other medical personnel during surgical procedures.
• Maintain aseptic technique and infection control protocols throughout surgeries.
• Collect and research data as needed for surgical procedures and patient care.
• Ensure all necessary supplies are available and properly sterilized before surgery.
• Monitor patient vitals and assist with basic life support as required.
• Document surgical procedures accurately and maintain patient records.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals in an ambulatory surgery center or critical care environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology is essential.
• Experience in acute care settings preferred, particularly within an operating room (OR) environment.
• Familiarity with infection control practices and aseptic techniques.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Previous experience as a Surgical Technician or in a similar role is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development within the field.

Pay: $52.43 - $61.00 per hour
