Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled IT Technician to support the technology infrastructure of a home healthcare provider. This role ensures seamless operation of Windows 11 devices, Windows Small Business Servers, laptops, tablets deployed in the field, and cellphones used by healthcare staff. The ideal candidate will provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and implement system upgrades while maintaining security and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Device Support: Maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade Windows 11 desktops and laptops for office and remote users.
Server Administration: Manage and support Windows Small Business Server, including user access, security settings, and software updates.
Mobile Technology Support: Configure and support tablets and cellphones used by field healthcare providers, ensuring connectivity and secure access to patient records.
Network Management: Maintain local and remote network connectivity, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and enhance performance.
Software Support: Assist with electronic health records (EHR) systems, Office 365 applications, and other healthcare-specific software.
Security & Compliance: Ensure cybersecurity best practices, compliance with HIPAA regulations, and proper data encryption protocols.
Technical Training: Provide guidance and training for healthcare staff on IT best practices and new technologies.
Troubleshooting & Helpdesk: Respond to IT tickets, provide remote and onsite support, and resolve hardware/software issues promptly.
Qualifications & Skills:
Experience: 2 years of IT support experience, preferably in healthcare or similar environments.
Technical Expertise:
Proficiency in Windows 11 troubleshooting and configuration.
Strong understanding of Windows Small Business Server administration.
Experience with mobile device management (MDM) for tablets and cellphones.
Familiarity with network troubleshooting and VPN configurations.
Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and data security best practices.
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with healthcare staff.
Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications such as CompTIA A , Network , Microsoft Certified (MCP, MCSA, or equivalent).
Experience with healthcare IT systems (e.g., electronic medical records, telehealth platforms).
Familiarity with cloud-based services (Azure, AWS, etc.).
