Job Overview:
The Assistant Property Manager supports the Property Manager in overseeing the daily operations of an apartment community, ensuring excellent resident satisfaction, efficient property management, and financial success. This role requires proficiency in AppFolio property management software to handle leasing, rent collection, maintenance requests, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Leasing & Resident Relations
- Assist with leasing efforts, including conducting tours and processing applications.
- Respond to resident inquiries and resolve concerns professionally.
- Manage lease renewals and coordinate move-ins/move-outs.
✅ Financial & Administrative Tasks
- Process rent payments, late fees, and security deposits using AppFolio.
- Assist with budgeting, financial reporting, and expense tracking.
- Generate and review monthly reports, lease agreements, and notices.
✅ Maintenance Coordination
- Log and track maintenance requests in AppFolio.
- Schedule and follow up on work orders to ensure timely completion.
- Conduct property inspections and report maintenance needs.
✅ Property Management Support
- Assist in enforcing property policies, lease agreements, and regulations.
- Coordinate vendor services and maintain positive relationships with contractors.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing and local/state regulations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience in property management, leasing, or real estate.
- Proficiency in AppFolio or similar property management software.
- Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and property management best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience as an Assistant Property Manager or Leasing Consultant.
- Bilingual skills (if applicable to the community).
Work Schedule & Compensation:
- Full-time schedule, including occasional weekends as needed.
