As a Packaging Associate Lead, you will oversee and coordinate packaging activities within our Packaging Department. Your role involves ensuring the efficient and timely packaging of products while maintaining quality standards. You will lead a team of packaging associates, monitor production schedules, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of packaging associates to ensure smooth operations.
- Coordinate packaging activities according to production schedules and customer requirements.
- Monitor packaging processes to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.
- Train new packaging associates on procedures, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
- Maintain accurate production records and reports.
- Troubleshoot packaging equipment issues and coordinate maintenance as needed.
- Implement and enforce safety regulations and practices to create a safe work environment.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize workflow and meet production goals.
- Perform packaging tasks as needed to support the team during peak times.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus.
- Proven experience as a packaging associate or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
- Knowledge of packaging equipment operation and maintenance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills to maintain production records and reports.
Working Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm
Compensation: $20.00 per hour
