As a Shipping Associate, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely shipment of products from our warehouse. You will work collaboratively with the warehouse team to fulfill orders, prepare shipments, and maintain inventory accuracy. This role requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to company procedures.
- Verify product accuracy and quality before shipping.
- Use shipping software/systems to generate labels and documentation.
- Load/unload trucks and containers using forklifts or pallet jacks as needed.
- Organize and maintain inventory in the shipping area.
- Communicate and coordinate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as required.
- Keep work area clean and organized.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Shipping Associate or similar role preferred.
- Ability to operate forklifts or willingness to learn (certification a plus).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and shipment tracking.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Working hours: 7:00am-4:00pm
Compensation: $18.50 per hour
