As a Licensed Substance Abuse Associate (LSAA), you will be part of an organization that prioritizes wellness and excellence of care.

Responsibilities
The LSAA scope of practice includes rendering treatment and intervention services for alcohol and drug use disorders.
This may involve developing treatment plans, case management-counseling, referrals, crisis intervention, education, reporting, and record-keeping.
Alcohol and drug abuse counselors can also provide screening and referrals for mental health disorders, but assessment, treatment, and diagnosis fall outside their scope of practice.
In an integrated behavioral health setting, the LSAA may provide therapeutic services, including treatment for co-occurring disorders or dual diagnosis, under the supervision of an independently licensed counselor or therapist.
Requirements
To qualify for this role, you must have:
- An associate's degree in an addiction-related field.
- One to three years of experience working with substance abuse issues.
- A valid Licensed Substance Abuse Associate license.
Preferred qualifications include:
- A bachelor's or master's degree in Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counseling.
- A LADAC license.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
