El Rio Community School is an independent public charter school informed by the principles of Waldorf Education and authorized by the Los Angeles Unified School District. We opened our doors in the fall of 2020 to serve students and families in northeast Los Angeles. We are located in the Lincoln Heights neighborhood in Northeast Los Angeles, close to Highland Park, South Pasadena, and El Sereno.
El Rio Community School is looking for two TK teachers for the 2025-2026 school year. Ideal candidates have Waldorf teaching experience and a CA multiple subject credential, but we are also open to hiring people with a keen interest in teaching Common Core State Standards through the arts (painting, drawing, singing, drama, storytelling), with an artistic background, who are interested in studying Waldorf Education and developing as Public Waldorf teachers.

Our TK teachers teach in a play-based program committed to developing literacy and numeracy through an embedded, immersive experience that prioritizes practical living skills and the arts. Teachers take the and walk to the nearby park (Albion Riverside Park) for recess.
Salary : $66,000 - $99,000
