Salary : $30.50 - $44.17 depending on qualifications
JOB PURPOSE : The Information Security Associate is an information security professional responsible for implementation of security procedures which safeguard the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and data.
Essential Job Functions :
- Conducts analysis of log files, evidence, and other information to identify evidence of past intrusions.
- Performs analysis of log files from a variety of sources to identify possible threats to network security.
- Notifies designated managers, cyber incident responders, and cybersecurity service provider team members of suspected cyber incidents and articulate the event's history, status, and potential impact for further action following the organization's cyber incident response plan.
- With supervision, performs cyber defense incident triage, to include determining scope, urgency, and potential impact, identifying the specific vulnerability, and making recommendations that enable expeditious remediation.
- Monitors system operations and reacts to events in response to triggers and / or observation of trends or unusual activity.
- Under guidance from more senior technical staff or leaders, conduct vulnerability scans and recognize vulnerabilities in security systems.
- Possesses basic skill in reading, interpreting, writing, modifying, and executing simple scripts on systems.
- Must be able to effectively communicate technical information to less technical or non-technical audiences.
- Receives and analyzes network alerts from various sources within the enterprise and determine possible causes of such alerts.
- Isolates and removes malware.
- Maintains a clean, safe, and hygienic work environment in compliance with all Policies and Procedures including but not limited to work areas, workstations, examination rooms, hand washing, infection prevention and control etc. for this position
- Demonstrates an understanding of and proficiency with the application of all compliance and reporting requirements respective to Joint Commission Certification (JCC) standards.
