Job Summary:
The General Programmer/Analyst II - Intermediate is a mid-level position for programming and data analysis. Primary activities and decision-making authority are predominantly performed independently that do affect business operations to a substantial degree.
Responsibilities and Tasks (listed in bullet format) in order of priority to be successful
- Analyzes and evaluates existing or proposed systems, and revises computer programs, systems and related procedures to process data.
- Prepares charts and diagrams to assist in problem analysis, and submits recommendations for solution.
- Prepares program specifications and diagrams, and develops coding logic flowcharts.
- Encodes, tests, debugs, and installs the operating programs and procedures
- Installs the operating programs in coordination with computer operations and user departments.
- Other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Education, Experience & License or Certification
- Bachelor's degree is required
- 1-3 years of functional (using skill set) experience is required
- OpenText Content Server Business Analyst Certification
- OpenText Content Server Administrator Certification
- Training Pre-requisites (Within One Year of Taking Position):
- ESD
- Safety Training, as dictated by Safety Department
- Business Analysis
- Knows and uses well the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of particular field of specialization.
- Under supervision, performs work that is varied and that may be somewhat difficult in character.
- Typically analyze, compare and evaluate various courses of action regarding programming data systems.
