Position Summary: This position exists to provide the services necessary to support the recruiting, training, licensing, contracting and termination of producers, organizations, and brokers of ELCO’s diverse distribution systems. Provides support to the Sales Agency Department. Assists with the creation of producer training materials and content for the agent portal are also responsibilities of this position. The challenge of this position is to build contracts to support specified commission structures, and to ensure licensing and contracting follows state statutes, laws and guidelines.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support event coordination for agency events
- Attending select agent events
- Convention coordination with sales team – administration functions
- Assists in acquiring and distributing promotional items for agents
- Performs administrative duties, such as, distributing sales materials, contracting, approving, and appointing agents, creating and maintaining agent files, maintaining appointment renewals, tracking agent requirements, agent terminations
- He/she is often the first contact that a potential agent would have with ELCO, and it is their responsibility to work with the sales department to engage these prospects from initial contact to appointment to active producer
- Assisting agents with life insurance and annuity application questions, including sales illustration software, electronic signature platform, underwriting prescreening questions and suitability questions
- Fosters a relationship with our agent base which encourages loyalty to ELCO accomplished by regular correspondence and contact
- Maintain broad understanding of all ELCO products and procedures, with the ability to answer questions and provide detailed information to agents
- Monitors agent production and commissions
- Works in collaboration with the marketing team to generate agent educational training materials and presentations
- Coordinates mass print agent mailings such as commission addendum changes and agent lists
- Participate in staff meetings by providing feedback, ideas, and suggestions necessary for our continued pursuit of agent satisfaction
- Takes personal responsibility for ongoing professional growth by identifying and acting on appropriate training and development opportunities
- Assists with providing content for agency newsletter and agent related email blasts
- Assists with providing technical support to agent with all sales tools
- Occasional travel may be required
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Must be punctual and highly responsible
- Strong people skills and customer service experience.
- Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat
- Proficiency in Microsoft application, specifically Excel
- Licensed to sell life insurance, a plus
