Position Summary
ELCO is seeking a Finance Manager to build, establish and lead a finance team. This role will be responsible for development and overseeing the financial forecasting, budgeting, and analysis to support strategic decision-making across the organization, transform financial planning and decision making into a source of advantage for the enterprise by enabling the business to better anticipate opportunities, spot risks and drive faster resource reallocation. ELCO does have an asset management partner to manage its investment portfolio. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, an in-depth understanding of financial management principles, a solid understanding of accounting principles, excellent communication abilities and a proven track record of driving process improvements.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to support decision-making across the organization.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information for financial analysis, ensure alignment of financial plans with strategic objectives.
- Forecasting future performance and advise on financial implications of business decisions.
- Prepare ad-hoc financial analyses and reports as needed to support decision-making.
- Evaluate potential strategies to support growth initiatives.
- Drive improvements in financial processes, systems, and reporting capabilities to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Mentor and develop FP&A team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Advanced degree or CFA a plus.
- 7-10 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with at least 2 years in a leadership role preferably within the life insurance industry. Expert financial modeling and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial planning/software applications.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial statement analysis, and management reporting.
- Track record of delivering insightful strategic decision support to the CFO, C-suite, and Board. Experience in long-term strategic planning, profitability improvement.
