Responsibilities:
- Assist with personal care and hygiene, plan and prepare meals
- Assist with mobility\ambulation around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.)
- Perform housekeeping duties and report any unusual incident to your applications manager
- Provide caring companionship and provide meaningful activities, that are essential for daily living, to keep client engaged
- Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in healthcare, or in-home care environment Required (6 months (minimum) of experience.
- Must be comfortable with transfers (Bed to W\C, W\C to Recliner, etc).
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and their family as well as care coordinators, on call staff and other internal staff.
- Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting. Eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with the physical capability to perform job-related duties
- Must have reliable transportation
- Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
- Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends
- Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Physical (within the last 12 months) Required
- 2 Professional References Required
