Job Title: Apparel Merchandise Assistant
Salary Range: $42,000 – $45,000 (based on experience)
Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Apparel Merchandise Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our Merchandise Managers to support the development and production of apparel items from initial concept through final delivery. You will play an essential role in coordinating internal processes, ensuring data accuracy, and facilitating communication between key stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include setting up new garment styles in our internal systems, generating purchase orders for imported finished goods, and collaborating with our Sales Team, customers, and in-house embroidery shops to ensure timely and accurate approval of embroidery designs. This position requires working with multiple detailed reports and managing several projects simultaneously in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist Merchandise Managers in all stages of the apparel production process.
· Set up new garment styles in company databases with complete and accurate information.
· Generate purchase orders for imported finished garments, ensuring data consistency and timeliness.
· Coordinate with Sales Team, customers, and company-owned embroidery shops to review and approve embroidery designs for production.
· Monitor and manage detailed production and order tracking reports to ensure timelines and quality standards are met.
· Communicate clearly and professionally with internal departments, overseas factories, fabric mills, and other external vendors.
· Support special projects and administrative tasks as needed to ensure smooth departmental operations.
Qualifications:
· College degree preferred; candidates with several years of relevant embroidery or apparel production experience will also be considered.
· Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in data entry and report management.
· Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time in a fast-paced environment.
· Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving and task ownership.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; familiarity with AS400 and Microsoft Outlook is a plus.
· Team-oriented mindset with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and project needs.Our Apparel Merchandise Assistants are responsible for assisting our Merchandise Managers from conception to completion on producing apparel items. Duties include setting up new garment styles in our database, creating purchase orders for imported finished garments and working with Sales Team, customers and Company owned embroidery shops to approve embroidery designs for production. All of these functions are completed by working with multiple reports in great detail. The start up salary range is $42-$45,000, based on experience.
