This role is also responsible for facilitating problem resolution by contacting clients’ insurance company, doctor office, and / or nursing facility along with answering and triage incoming calls into the department.Shift : 1p.m.- 9p.m.Join Our TeamPut the CARE back in CAREER - Join our team today!ResponsibilitiesPharmacy Data Entry Technician Responsibilities : Enter prescriptions into the pharmacy operating system for pharmacist approval.Answer and triage incoming phone calls in the department.Process prescription refill request from facilities.Make calls to the facilities regarding medication inquires.Reviews and investigates rejected third party claims; resolves / adjudicates as deemed necessary.Reviews and establishes cycle fill batch claims from automatic dispensing machines per schedule for all assigned locations.Prepares and processes third party prior authorization forms and follow-up as necessary.Processes credits and returns.Provides superior customer service.Utilizes electronic timekeeping system as directed.Arrives to work on time, regularly, and works as scheduled.Recognizes and follows the dress code of the facility including wearing name tag at all times.Follows policy and procedure regarding all electronic devices, computers, tablets, etc.QualificationsPharmacy Data Entry Technician Qualifications : Associates degree or equivalent experience preferred3 years' of Pharmacy Technician Data Entry experience in long term care, retail hospital setting required, 5 years of experience preferred3 years’ experience in pharmacy / third party billing, experience preferredExperience in long term care billing preferredAbility to answer multiple phone linesDemonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word and OutlookPrior experience working with third party payors a plusSkills / Competencies : Exceptional time management skillsData Entry skillsHighly organized with attention to detailProblem solverAbility to work autonomously as well as in a team settingSelf-motivatedExcellent customer service skillsExcellent telephone communication skillsThis position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and / or supervisors.
