Bartender

Part-Time Position

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for precise and proper mixing, controlling, dispensing, preparing and serving of a variety of beverages, liquors, beers and fine wines. Maintaining Family Style Service while also ensuring proper serving techniques.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for precise and proper mixing, controlling, dispensing, preparing and serving of a variety of beverages, liquors, beers and fine wines.
• Will maintain the cleanliness of coolers, bar equipment, glassware, decanters and any other service items associated with beverage service.
• Explain and sell all types of beverages to bar patrons by exceeding and anticipating guests’ expectations.
• All other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:

• One year bartending experience or degree from accredited bartender school preferred. Must have proven customer service abilities, excellent communication skills, good grasp of the English language, the ability to operate cash register, (POS system).
• Must have the knowledge and ability to mix a variety of cocktails.
• Will have extensive product knowledge of liquor, beer and wine and will be required to continue to expand on that knowledge as determined by management.
• Must be physically able to lift up to 50lbs, bend, stoop, climb, and reach with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be able to stand/walk/ sit for extended periods.
• May be exposed to working in a noisy, smoke/secondary smoke environment.
• Must be at least 21.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate licensing.
• Must be able to pass a background investigation.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or equivalent.
