This Position:
The Title and Salary Level of this position will be commensurate with experience level and role assignment(s) of the selected candidate. Also, this position requires that the candidate be located in the DFW area (or within reasonable driving distance to the company headquarters in Mansfield, TX), and that they be in the office on a daily basis.
This Construction Office Coordinator position is responsible for performing multiple tasks in support of daily company operations.
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of general office administration experience with workforce/service scheduling and obtaining construction permits from municipalities in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. An associate’s degree in a business discipline would be preferred. Experience in construction administration would be a definite plus, as would being a notary public.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Obtaining Building Permits: Process and obtain building permits from various municipalities in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
- Reception: Greet visitors, clients, and vendors, ensuring a warm and professional welcome.
- Administrative Duties: Handle general administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and managing office supplies.
- Worker/Job Scheduling: Coordinate and schedule jobs for our team of electricians, ensuring efficient use of resources and timely completion of projects.
- Answering Phones: Respond to incoming calls, address inquiries, and route calls to the appropriate team members.
- Notary: Notarize official documents as required
- Follow Company Best Practices
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in a similar role.
- Notary Public (or be willing to become one)
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience with scheduling software and CRM systems.
- Experience with local building permit processes.

Prerequisites:
This position requires an associate's degree or equivalent work experience in business or related field, with at least one year of experience in a similar or related role. Knowledge of construction administration would be desirable. Additionally, ElectraTex requires drug, alcohol, criminal and financial background checks.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit, communicate, reach and manipulate objects, tools or controls. The position requires mobility. Duties involve moving materials weighing up to 10 pounds on a regular basis and up to 25 pounds on an occasional basis. Manual dexterity and coordination are required over 50% of the work period while operating equipment such as computer keyboard, mouse, calculator and similar machines.
Working Conditions:
Usual office working conditions. The noise level in the work environment is typical of most office environments. Travel, evening and weekend hours may be necessary from time to time. Office hours are 7:00am – 3:30pm.
