POSITION : Material Handler
REPORTS TO : Repair Shop Manager
LOCATION : Fresno, CA
SALARY : $19.00 to $25.00 / per hour, DOE

We are a union shop and employ IBEW Local 100 electricians and motor repair technicians.
JOB SUMMARY :
Responsible for organizing, staging, and managing incoming and outgoing jobs to facilitate an efficient repair process with the motor repair technicians while maintaining a clean and safe facility. Duties include cleaning, organizing the shop, loading / unloading vehicles, transporting goods, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental procedures. Additionally, it supports administrative tasks such as customer follow-ups, quote calls, parts inventory management, and receiving.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Responsible for organizing incoming and outgoing jobs, consolidating, locating, and staging jobs. Loads and transports materials, supplies, and finished repairs (manually and / or using hand trucks, forklifts, and cranes)
- Responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy facility by cleaning, organizing, and disposing of shop waste.
- Support receiving and parts department
- Responsible for loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Responsible for timely and accurate delivery and pick up of goods to specified locations. Responsible for safe vehicle operations, vehicle safety inspections, and maintenance.
- Responsible for supporting the administrative team with customer follow-up calls, call-on quotes
- Follow all relevant safety, quality, and environmental control procedures and instructions to ensure personal safety and the safety of others.
- Neatness in personal appearance and the ability to establish and maintain good relations with fellow employees and customers by providing courteous, efficient, and professional service
- Collects and adequately disposes of shop waste, scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping
- Communicate well verbally and in writing; daily ongoing communication with department staff.
