Power Systems Engineer – Entry Level

Location : Chester, VA / Richmond, VA

Job Type : Full-Time

Salary : Competitive Salary

Electric Power, Inc. is seeking a motivated Power Systems Engineer to join our team! This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in designing, analyzing, and optimizing electrical power systems.

Responsibilities :

  • Work with lead engineers and test technicians to test and commission all parts of electrical power systems.
  • Perform systems testing of protection and control systems.
  • Develop test plans and routines that will document proper operation of a power system protection and control system.
  • Implement modernization of outdated protection and control systems.
  • Work in the center of the electrical power system – Generation, transmission, and distribution

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems focus preferred).
  • Understanding of power distribution, transmission, and protection systems.
  • Familiarity with power analysis software (e.g., ETAP, PSS / E, SKM).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
