Job Summary
Troubleshoot and repair electrical and instrumentation components, calibrate and verify level, pressure, temperature, flow instruments.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will ensure that Instrumentation and Electrical Systems are accurately maintained and contribute to their proactive improvement.
Key duties include:
- Undertaking reactive/corrective Instrumentation & Electrical repairs.
- Completing planned proactive/preventive/routine calibration.
- Supporting Capex installations and implementing other new improvement works.
- Engage in general maintenance activities such as pump repairs, mechanical fabrication and piping system repairs if required.
Job Requirements:
The successful candidate will be qualified to:
- Fault-finding expertise in both instrumentation and electrical systems.
- Working knowledge of typical industrial 480-volt 3-phase distribution systems. and
- Working knowledge of Motor Control Center function and hardware.
- Familiar with integrated industrial plant instrumentation and controls.
- Able to install and calibrate temperature, flow, pressure and other industrial instrumentation.
- Able to calibrate and repair control valves.
- PLC competence with Allen-Bradley and Siemens S7 with skill set such as loading/downloading written programs from the laptop.
- Variable Frequency Drives Programming and troubleshooting.
- NFPA 70e trained
- Basic skill level in Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Strong mechanical aptitude for general maintenance duties.
- Welding skills desirable
- Must be able to pass a standard I&E test. Chemical industry hazardous area experience and awareness would be advantageous.
Education:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- Specialized training related to any of the above is desirable.
