The Electrical Equipment Co is a leading provider of electrical equipment and solutions for the industrial automation sector. We are looking for a Smart Safety Product Manager to join our team and help us grow our Safety market share in our Virginia territory.
Position Summary
This role drives business strategy and growth for the Smart Safety business, which includes various safety programmable control systems, related safety sensors, interlock mechanisms and perform Risk Analysis reviews (certified training to be provided). The position provides technical, marketing, and commercial leadership for our Company and our customers. This person supports the commercial plan and develops competency plans for our sales teams, ensuring they are prepared to maximize market share.
Responsibilities Include:
The Distributor Smart Safety Product Manager is accountable for the revenue performance of the Smart Safety business. The Smart Safety Product Manager must be able to communicate effectively, both internally and externally. They must understand and articulate the value of their product portfolio, while serving as a Domain Expert for this offering. Technical competence must be displayed in product selection, demonstration, presentations and other sales-related activities.
Position Requirements:
1. Bachelor of Science in Engineering -OR- equivalent combination of skills, experience or education
2. Formal certification in Functional Safety is preferred.
3. 3 years of experience / knowledge applying RA's products or equivalent competitive solutions
4. Manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously, ensuring stakeholder expectations are managed appropriately
5. Travel to customers within assigned geography will be required
