The Quality Assurance Inspector will have strong attention to details; excellent work ethics and must be a team player. The position requires a hands on person to perform inspection on internal and external products and assemblies. Electro Industries is located in Westbury, Long Island.

• Performs incoming inspection duties, in-process and final product inspection.
• Perform inspections of purchased parts, subassemblies, discrete components or finished company products according to drawings and specifications, procedures, work instructions.
• Ability to make mechanical or electrical measurements.
• Documents inspection outcomes in NetSuite software
• Utilize inspection tools and equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges to ensure part quality conformance.
• Oversee the products, processes and systems on an ongoing basis to determine where improvements can be made.
• Document inspection results, issue non-conformances and communicate to external vendors.
• Conduct and document processes and system audits using written procedures as audit standards.
• Inspect and document First Article Inspections using internal documentation.

Required Education and Experience:

• 3-5 years of experience in the electronic manufacturing industry and Quality
• Must understand electronic sub-assembly/component manufacturing
• Familiar with ISO9001
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Current certification to IPC-A-610 and / or J-STD-001 workmanship standards

Preferred Knowledge

• Internal Auditor with 2 or more plus years’ experience
• Knowledge of Excel
