What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Controller position at Electro Magnetic Applications, Inc.?
Electro Magnetic Applications (EMA) is hiring an on-site Project Controller. In this role, you will work cross-functionally between the technical and business teams to ensure that EMA services projects are executed on schedule and within budget. EMA supports a variety of commercial and government customers, with project duration ranging from a few weeks to multiple years. At any given time, we have 40-50 active projects and a staff of 70 employees, with goals to grow both our number of projects and number of staff.
Essential Job Functions
- Provide support to technical members to ensure tasks are delegated appropriately based on their skillset and workload.
- Coordinate with Technical Project Managers for staffing consulting contracts.
- Tracking projects throughout its lifecycle and ensuring that critical information is communicated.
- Manage the status of all consulting projects, including the amount spent and period of performance, and report to the ownership team.
- Create, manage, and host project manager trainings.
- Overall management of all technical team members work and consulting projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree minimum
- 5 years of project management experience minimum, preferably in aerospace/defense industry
- US citizen with an active security clearance or the ability to hold a clearance
- Superb organization skills and attention to detail to execute and review projects.
- Ability to communicate effectively, demonstrating leadership, influencing, and presenting skills.
- Must be comfortable working with government contracts.
