Fitter
Job description:
Read and interpret engineer drawings to fabricate steel structures by following proper procedures and using a variety of power equipment such as welding machines, grinders, Mag drill, and saws in a safe manner.
Read and properly interpret weld symbols is a plus
Must be able to take and pass a tacking or welding test by using GMAW and FCAW in different positions.
Prepare material using a flame torch, hand plasma, and other hand tools.
Capable of operating overhead cranes, chain hoists, pallet jacks, and pneumatic jacks when necessary.
Knowledge to identify material and its specifications.
Inspect your work for any inconsistencies and label all parts for traceability.
Basic math knowledge
English or bilingual speaking is a plus.
Follow all quality and safety procedures.
Respect for co-workers and company policies.
Always maintain good housekeeping and ensure all equipment is working in a safe condition.
Teamwork and positive culture, assist fitters, welders, QC, and supervisors to carry out tasks promptly.
