Position Overview:
The STC Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining STC slicing machines, Bridgeport mills, and vibratory tumblers to ensure product quality and adhere to manufacturing standards. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow safety protocols, and the use of various tools to inspect and maintain machinery.
Major Functions:

Optimize Safety/Minimize Risk:
- Wear required PPE.
- Adhere to required safety precautions.

Read, Understand, and Follow Work Instructions (WI) and Process Control Standards (PCS):
- Access Paradigm to review and/or print WI or PCS.
- Recommend revisions and updates to the WI and PCS.

Interpret Customer Drawings:
- Verify the drawing part number matches the manufacturing router.
- Review the drawing to obtain specified dimensions, features, tolerances, and customer requirements.

Set Up Machinery:
- Install proper tooling.
- Select proper measuring equipment and calibrate as required (may include optical comparator, micrometer, gauges, dial indicators).
- Select proper fixtures.
- Select appropriate program where applicable.

Maintain Machinery:
- Clean and organize machinery and work area.
- Fill coolant or oil in the machine daily.
- Perform required preventative maintenance.
- Request reorder of consumables as needed.

Operate Machinery:
- STC Slicing Machines.
- Bridgeport Mill.
- Vibratory Tumbler.
- Ensure all operations meet established quality standards and production rates.

Verify and Accurately Record Data:
- Enter data into ERP Computer System and manufacturing router as required by work instructions.

Perform In-Process Inspection:
- Conduct inspections as required to ensure product quality and compliance with specifications.

Adhere to EEC Escalation Policy:
- Follow the escalation procedures as outlined by the company.
Accountability of Employees:
- Use your best efforts and full capability to achieve the assigned outputs.
- Inform your manager in time for adaptive action when circumstances make it likely that outputs cannot be achieved or more could be done.
- Advise your manager on helpful ideas.
- Seek special dispensation from your manager when unable to work at your best.
