Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial services and demonstrate proficiency in various accounting software. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports.
- Manage general ledger accounting, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial data.
- Participation in and creation of annual budgets.
- Ensure the company takes advantage of all cash discounts, maximizes all manufacturer credits/rebates, etc.
- Process payroll efficiently while adhering to applicable laws and regulations.
- Accounts Payable - responsible for overseeing personnel entering AP and directly responsible for running checks and paying AP, taking into consideration cash flow daily.
- Cycle Billing – Oversee and direct employees responsible for setting up contracts in EBM’s ERP and overseeing personnel accountable for collection and entering of monthly usage meters. Verify and ensure that all contract billing is accurate prior to invoices being mailed.
- Management of all Administrative Personnel including receptionist, purchasing, meter collection, cash application, HR, etc.
- Daily Cash flow reporting
- Collaborate with management on financial management strategies.
- Utilize financial software to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations as required.
Experience
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in financial services or accounting roles.
- Proficiency in accounting software.
- Strong understanding of payroll processes, general ledger accounting, bank reconciliation, tax regulations, and journal entries.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
