Service Technician

Position Overview:
The Service Technician is responsible for daily activities of Service and Support to our
Customers, both internal and external. They will inspect and maintain all the technology systems that are installed at our customer’s facility including but not limited to access control, audio/visual, fire alarm, nurse call, sound systems, and video surveillance. The Service Technician is the front-line support of our business.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Researches, troubleshoots and problem solves issues that arise
2. Inspects devices and provides quality reports on the functionality of customer systems
3. Recommends preventative maintenance on systems
4. Communicates (written and verbal) effectively to internal and external customers
5. Point of escalation for difficult customer cases and de-escalates situations as needed
6. Interacts professionally and tactfully with others on job-sites
7. Networking and set up remote support
8. Provides on-site client training as required
9. Prioritizes tasks
Additional Responsibilities:
1. Performs work in adherence to OSHA and company safety policies and procedures as they are introduced to the Company; promptly reports unsafe work conditions to supervisor
2. Cultivates positive working relationships within and across departments
3. Engages in behaviors that foster a healthy work environment and company culture
4. Adheres to company-issued policies, procedures, core values, behavioral or other standards as prescribed by the Company
5. Presents self in a professional manner and appropriately represents the Company image
Requirements:
1. Background in Fire Alarm Systems
2.Associates Degree in Electronics preferred
3. Valid State Driver’s license
4. Willingness to travel overnights as needed
5. Work independently
6. Willingness to work weekends when necessary
7. End-User Training Experience
Physical Requirements:
1. Must be able to climb and work off ladders and scaffolding
2. Must be able to walk, stoop, push, pull, bend, kneel, crouch, and lift 75lbs when necessary
3. Ability to perform activities such as operate power tools and aerial lifts
4. Ability to work with hazards and a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, etc.
Experience:
1. Minimum of 2 years technical experience
2. Background in Fire Alarm Systems
