Summary of Role and Function:
The Sales Coordinator is a key support role within the sales department, focused on ensuring that submitted sales quotes progress smoothly through the sales funnel. The primary responsibilities include following up with clients via phone and email, documenting all interactions in Salesforce, and collaborating with the Estimating and Sales teams to update quotes as needed. This role does not carry a direct sales quota but is critical for maintaining momentum in the sales process by addressing client questions, concerns, and requests for re-quotes promptly. The position requires excellent organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and a customer-focused approach, all aimed at improving the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the sales process.
Roles:
· Provide follow‐up support on submitted sales quotes
· Document client feedback and follow‐up interactions in Salesforce
· Ensure that submitted quotes are moving forward through the sales funnel
· Act as a liaison with the Estimating and Sales teams for any re-quotes or updates
Responsibilities:
· Follow up on submitted quotes via phone and email to verify client interest
· Document all customer feedback, questions, or concerns in Salesforce
· Track the status of each opportunity, ensuring quotes are progressing in the funnel
· Collaborate with Estimating and Sales teams to update quotes when a client requests changes
· Generate daily/weekly reports on follow-up activities and funnel progress
· Escalate any stalled opportunities or client issues to the Senior Sales Manager
Daily Tasks:
· Review assigned list of quotes in Salesforce at the start of each day
· Make outbound calls and send follow-up emails to clients
· Log all interactions and update opportunity statuses in Salesforce
· Coordinate with the Estimating team for any needed quote modifications
· Prepare summary reports on follow-up outcomes for management review
Work Expectations:
· 100% on-site at the Houston facility during standard business hours
· Focus on support and follow-up functions – no direct sales quota is required
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred
· 2 years’ experience in sales support or customer service roles
· Proficiency with Salesforce CRM and Microsoft Office Suite
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Excellent organizational and time-management skills
· Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple follow-ups simultaneously
Experience and Education:
· Experience: 2 years in sales support or related roles
· Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred (or Associate’s degree with relevant experience)
