Electronic Transaction Consultants, LLC (“ETC”) is a leading provider of smart mobility solutions, including electronic tolling and related operations and maintenance services and Intelligent Transportation Systems. Join ETC as a Associate II Software Developer to help us deliver technical excellence and outstanding customer service in a team environment, where each member radiates our core values of integrity, excellence, collaboration, innovation, and passion. Our corporate office is located in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex and Richardson, TX specifically. This opportunity is for someone to work in the DFW area as a hybrid schedule coming into the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays to work, attend meetings and events.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will help support the entire software development lifecycle - from analyzing the needs, designing, testing, and developing software in order to meet those needs. This individual will document the process through the use of diagrams and flowcharts, developing computer instructions through the use of algorithms. The individual must develop a thorough understanding of computer systems, in order to recognize any hardware limitations that could impact software design. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and attention to detail. This individual must work well on a team as well as individually.

  • Participates in the testing process through test, review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software
  • Relies on training, judgment, and experience to plan and accomplish goals
  • Supports and/or installs software applications
  • Follows standard operating procedures to improves system quality by identifying issues and common patterns
  • Enhances applications by identifying opportunities for improvement, making recommendations, designing, and implementing systems
  • Maintains and improves existing codebases

  • Proven ability to organize and prioritize diverse, multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Computer literate and experience in Microsoft software
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills

  • Desire to be part of the high paced, high energy environment
  • Have a "can-do" positive attitude

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience required.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Applicable work experience highly valued
