What are the responsibilities and job description for the NDT Level II - Computed Radiographic position at Element Materials Technology?
Overview
Element has an opportunity for a Computed Radiographic, NDT Level II to join our growing team. Computed Radiographic, NDT Level II will be familiar with the codes, standards, and other contractual documents utilized at Element. The Level II shall be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations for the technique/method to which certified and, should be capable of directing the work of trainees and Level II personnel. The Level II Technician will have an advanced knowledge of product manufacturing and inspection technology.
This role will train on the first shift (7:30-4:30pm), but candidate must be willing to work on second shift (3:30-11:00pm) based on customer needs.
Responsibilities
*Will consider 5 year experience as a Level II, with ability to move to Levell III.
- Contract review: review and approve work orders and make changes to meet the customer reqirements
- Create profiles for new part numbers and update old profiles
- Assisting with CR techniques creation, ensuring they meet client and project requirements
- Assist Level III with department procedure creation, maintenance and review
- Assist Quality Manager and Level III with client audits
- Assist Level III to ensure equipment is calibrated / certified per required procedures and client requirements
- Contact customers with technical questions regarding information missing on purchase orders
- Assist Level III with performance reviews for all certified technicians
- Assist Level III with review of certifications for corrections and revisions
- Provide excellent customer service with First-Time Right and On-time Deivery Requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills / Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or 2 years of equivalent work experience within a related field
- Must be able to read and write English
- Proficent in Word, Outlook, Excel and Power Point
- Familiar with testing codes and standards
- Diverse knowledge of Aerospace NDT specifications. Added benefit with exposure to, Boeing, GE, Honeywell, and Pratt
