Product Test Engineering Manager (Dynamics Manager)
POSITION SUMMARY:
Plan, conduct and supervise all department testing for a specific site. Provide technical and administrative supervision to assure that the technical, administrative, schedule and budget goals for the department are achieved. Dynamics: The branch of mechanics that deals with motion of systems under action of forces usually from outside the system.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Provide technical and administrative direction to the department staff.
- Interact with customers and Program Managers for technical support and review of test results.
- Troubleshoot escalated testing issues.
- Work with department staff to run certain test, particularly if they are complex in nature.
- Other - Perform other duties as assigned
CORE REQUIREMENTS:
- Manages the coordination of department activities with responsibility for results, including costs, methods and staffing
- Able to complete advanced technical and mechanical procedures; able to perform assignments that are not standardized or prescribed.
- Advanced interpretation and analysis of test results. Acts as an advisor to others, to meet schedules and resolve technical problems.
- Frequently interacts with subordinate supervisors, customers, and/or functional peer group managers, normally involving matters between functional areas, other company divisions or units, or customers and the company. Often must lead a cooperative effort among members of a project team
- Advanced understanding of engineering principles; expert understanding of data interpretation, Dynamics testing & troubleshooting.
- Advanced knowledge of Electrical and Mechanical principles, strong knowledge of all potential aspects of safety
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- BS in Engineering
- Minimum 10 years experience with mechanical, electrical Engineering
- Mechanical Testing experience preferred
- Minimum 5 years in a management role
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Test lab with exposure to sudden, loud noises
- Must be a US Citizen
Salary : $106,000 - $121,000
