Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and set up the brake press machine by selecting and installing the appropriate dies and tooling according to job specifications.
- Load metal sheets or plates into the machine, ensuring they are properly aligned and secured for accurate bending.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, or job orders to determine the required bend angles, dimensions, and tolerances.
- Operate the brake press machine to bend or shape metal materials according to the specified dimensions and angles. This may involve multiple bends and adjustments.
- Continuously monitor the formed parts for quality and accuracy, making necessary adjustments to the machine settings to maintain precision.
- Perform routine maintenance on machine tooling, including cleaning, sharpening, and replacing dies or punches as needed.
- Maintain records of machine settings, production quantities, and quality control checks.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of oneself and others. This includes wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
