Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Extrusion Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and monitoring extrusion machinery to produce high-quality plastic products. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
1st shift - 7am - 3:30pm
$18/hr to start
Duties
- Operate extrusion machines and ensure they are functioning correctly throughout the production process.
- Conduct quality inspections of finished products, ensuring they meet company standards and specifications.
- Utilize various tools and equipment, including micrometers and lathe machines, to fabricate components as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues with machinery or production processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety regulations.
- Operate forklifts for material handling within the warehouse as required.
- Assist in the setup and calibration of logic controllers for optimal machine performance.
- Perform routine maintenance on extrusion equipment to prevent downtime.
Experience
- Previous experience as an Extrusion Operator or in a similar manufacturing role is preferred.
- Familiarity with plastics injection molding processes is a plus.
- Experience operating press brake machines and other machining tools is desirable.
- Knowledge of quality inspection techniques and standards within a manufacturing environment is essential.
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Experience working in a warehouse setting is advantageous but not mandatory.
