Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our facilities. You will utilize your technical skills to perform repairs, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of various systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of facilities maintenance and demonstrate leadership qualities while working independently or as part of a team.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders and manage maintenance schedules.
- Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot and repair equipment effectively.
- Conduct inspections of facilities to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Fabricate parts or components as needed for repairs or improvements.
- Supervise and guide other maintenance staff when necessary, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
- Assist in residential painting projects as required, ensuring high-quality finishes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of maintaining various building systems including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for tracking maintenance activities.
- Ability to read and understand schematics and technical drawings.
- Leadership skills with the ability to supervise others effectively.
- Proficient in fabricating components as needed for repairs.
- Knowledge of logic controllers is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong attention to detail.
