Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Extrusion Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining extrusion machinery to produce high-quality plastic products. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
$18/hr to start
1st shift 7am - 3:30pm
Duties
- Operate extrusion machinery to produce plastic components according to specifications.
- Monitor production processes and adjust machinery settings as necessary to maintain product quality.
- Conduct quality inspections on finished products, ensuring they meet company standards.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including troubleshooting and repairs.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production efficiency and minimize waste.
- Utilize hand tools and other equipment for fabrication tasks as needed.
- Adhere to safety protocols and lean manufacturing principles throughout the production process.
Skills
- Experience with lathe operations and press brake machines is preferred.
- Strong skills in quality inspection techniques and materials handling.
- Familiarity with plastics injection molding processes is a plus.
- Ability to fabricate components using hand tools effectively.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices to enhance productivity.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in a manufacturing setting.
