Overview
We are seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maker to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining and fabrication, with the ability to read and interpret schematics. This role involves creating, assembling, and maintaining precision tools and dies used in the production process. The successful applicant will be detail-oriented, possess excellent problem-solving skills, and have experience with various machining techniques.
Responsibilities
- Interpret blueprints and schematics to design and fabricate tools, dies, and fixtures.
- Operate various machinery including milling machines, CNC machines, and stamping presses.
- Utilize hand tools and precision measuring instruments such as calipers to ensure accuracy in production.
- Assemble components according to specifications and perform necessary adjustments.
- Conduct routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop new tooling solutions for production needs.
- Troubleshoot issues that arise during the manufacturing process and implement effective solutions.
- Weld components as needed to complete tooling projects.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Tool and Die Maker or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in CAD software for designing tooling components.
- Strong understanding of machining processes including milling, turning, and stamping.
- Familiarity with welding techniques is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
- Knowledge of safety protocols in a manufacturing setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree preferred.
