Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Tool Maker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in machining and tooling, with the ability to create, modify, and repair tools used in manufacturing processes. Duties
- Design and fabricate tools and dies according to specifications.
- Utilize CAM programming and CNC machinery for tool production.
- Perform machining operations using lathes, mills, and other equipment.
- Assemble tools and fixtures for production use.
- Conduct inspections using precision measuring instruments to ensure quality standards are met.
- Collaborate with engineers and production staff to improve tool designs and manufacturing processes.
- Troubleshoot and repair existing tools as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Experience
Candidates should have experience or knowledge in the following areas:
- CAM programming
- Machining techniques
- Tooling processes
- Precision measuring instruments
- Plastics injection molding (preferred)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for design purposes
- Familiarity with Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM)
- Strong math skills for precise calculations
