Qualifications :
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Principal Endorsement or General Administration
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a elementary building level administrator
- Excellent communication, presentation, community outreach and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead with equity, empathy, and a growth mindset
- Minimum 5 years of successful teaching experience in an elementary setting preferred
- Experience with MTSS, special education processes, and Professional Learning Communities preferred

Staff Supervision & Development :
Provide instructional leadership that supports staffs' implementation of both curriculum and instructional practices that align with the Board of Education's standards in meeting each students' needsAssists in the recruiting, screening, hiring, and evaluation of certified and non-certified staffImplement programs that improve Teacher performance and assist students in realizing appropriate growthConducts staff evaluations to provide constructive feedback and support professional growthAssists in the in-service orientation and training of teachers, ensuring alignment with school administrative procedures and instructional expectationsStudent Supervision & Discipline :
Establish and maintain an effective and attractive learning environment that fosters for Teacher and Student BelongingOversees student discipline, ensuring consistent and equitable implementation of school policiesImplements restorative practices and logical consequences to support student behavior and accountabilityDirects the supervision of playgrounds, lunchrooms, hallways, and recesses to ensure student safety and a positive school environmentSchool Operations & Logistics :
Ensure the creation of accurate reports, records, lists and paperwork appropriate to the school's administrationSupervises the maintenance of accurate records on the progress and attendance of students while working closely with families and staff to address absenteeism and tardinessSupervise the daily use of the school facilities for both academic and non-academic purposesDevelops and maintains the school schedule to support instructional needsRespond to concerns from parents, teachers and administrators in a timely mannerOversees emergency drills, including fire, lockdown, and severe weather drills, ensuring compliance with district and state safety protocolsAssessment & Accommodations :
Coordinates the school's testing schedule for state and district assessmentsOrganizes and oversees testing accommodations for students with IEPs and 504 Plans, ensuring compliance with documented supportsWorks with teachers and support staff to group students appropriately for testing accommodations504 Plans & Student Support :
Oversees 504 evaluations and plan development, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulationsCollaborates with teachers, parents, and support staff to implement appropriate accommodations for students with 504 PlansMonitors and reviews 504 Plans to ensure they meet student needs and are effectively implemented in the classroomEvent & Activity Coordination :
Plans and coordinates school events, ensuring smooth logistics and staff involvementSupports, supervise and evaluate extracurricular activities and student engagement initiativesGeneral Responsibilities :
Implement policies and procedures adopted by the Board of Education and the Illinois School CodeAssume responsibility for his / her own professional growth and development through membership and participation in the affairs of professional organizationsAssist and support District's Business Office, Human Resources Department and District initiated projectsImplement benchmarks for students and Teachers and track progress towards those goalsPerforms other tasks and projects as assigned by PrincipalApplication Procedure
