What are the responsibilities and job description for the Landscape and Enhancement Crew position at Elements Landscaping?
Duties:
- Operate various tools and equipment, including: chainsaws, jackhammers, laser levels, measurement equipment, shovels, hammers, drills, etc.
- Dig ditches or trenches
- Perform land clearing activities
- Plant and maintain garden beds and lawns
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment required to complete landscape construction projects
- Transport materials using shovels, wheelbarrows, carts, dollies, and hand lifting/carrying
- Assist Crew leader with job-related tasks
- Perform lawn maintenance at various locations
- Operate hand tools and power tools as required
- Help maintain general landscape of property
- Perform tree care tasks such as pruning and trimming
Skills:
- Experience with power tools for maintenance projects
- Ability to perform manual labor tasks
- Familiarity with lawn care practices and landscape maintenance
- Basic tree care skills such as pruning and trimming
- Mechanical knowledge to operate and maintain equipment
- Proficiency in using hand tools for various tasks
- Capable of operating required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner
- Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Time management skills
- Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools and equipment required to complete various landscape/construction practices
- Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team
- Ability to walk, stand, crouch for long periods of time and carry out strenuous physical tasks
- Preference will be given to candidates with a valid driver’s license and safe driving record
