Job Summary:
The Corporate Payroll & Benefits Specialist administers payroll and employee benefits for all Elev8 Fun locations including corporate and executive personnel, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and government legislated guidelines and regulations. Must follow efficient processes and manage risks proactively.
Responsible for timely and accurate payroll administration, benefits management, employee guidance, and problem-solving. This role is vital for maintaining employee morale and requires close collaboration between HR, and Finance to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with payroll and benefits.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
No personnel will report into this position at this time, subject to change based off of business demands
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Manages payroll preparation and distribution, ensuring compliance with policies and U.S. laws.
- Administers benefits programs, policies, and procedures on behalf of Elev8 Fun.
- Ensure programs meet employee needs while complying with regulatory and cost requirements.
- Work with ADP to create statistical reports for payroll and benefits.
- Assist with training new hire employee on payroll and benefits.
- Resolve complex payroll and benefit issues.
- Work with HR, Finance, and VP to review compensation and benefits policies annually.
- Manage compensation distribution, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Stay updated on federal and state regulations affecting employee benefit programs such as (ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, Workers Compensation, Medicare, OBRA, and Social Security, EEO-1, ACA and DOL requirements).
- Maintain and ensure all payroll and employee benefit data are accurate and to date for internal/external audit requirements.
- Participate in the annual internal/external audits
- Maintain and ensures accuracy of all employee benefits, including billing, change reporting, enrollment, and review of Medical, Dental, 401K, and Life.
- Manage annual personnel reports and EEO.
- Oversee paid time off (PTO) accruals and coordinate with accounting.
- Assist in managing long-term incentive (LTI) stock awards for executives.
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong knowledge of payroll and benefits administration procedures and legislative government guidelines.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the Payroll and Benefits.
- Proficient in Payroll and benefits software.
- Payroll Certification and professional designations preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications ie., Excel
- Solid aptitude for detail and accuracy.
- Ability to use sound judgment with issues that are sensitive and confidential in nature.
- Effective problem solving and analytical skills as well as organizational, multi-tasking and prioritizing skills.
- Ability to communicate with various levels of staff including management.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team to meet constant deadlines.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or a related experience in the field
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Able to travel as needed. Less than 10% out of the year
Special Note:
While this position is primarily remote, please be aware that you will be required to travel to various Elev8 Fun locations as needed. These locations include Tampa, Orlando, Jensen Beach, Doral, and Jacksonville.
