Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Youth Support Specialist to join our team. As a Parent Coach, you will work closely with families to develop constructive change through support, guidance, instruction, and treatment. Your ultimate goal will be to maintain children safely at home and coach parents on how to manage their at-risk youth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide in-home and community-based support and coaching to parents of children and adolescents with severe mental health or behavioral challenges.
- Coach and train parents to address specific needs of the child using evidence-based parenting models.
- Support the guardian as they parent their child or adolescent.
- Gather and analyze information from parent(s) and team members to assist in developing a service plan to meet the family's needs.
- Assist the parents in navigating educational, state, and community resources.
- Document services rendered in the youth's chart.
- Consultation and collaboration with other staff to address meeting service needs of youth.
- Participate in Child and Family team meetings when scheduled.
Requirements:
- Licensed Social Worker (LSW)
- Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC)
- Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (LAMFT)
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
