Summary of Position-
As the Parts Sales Manager you will be responsible for overseeing all Elevate MRO over the counter and work order parts sales as well as maintaining the company inventory of spare parts, tooling, equipment, and materials. In addition, you will collaborate with your team to coordinate sales, shipping, receiving, and manage inventory control at our Salt Lake City Repair Station and its satellite locations. Rapid response to AOG situations and continuous communication to management, team members and customers is crucial to success in this role.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities-
- Parts Sales Management- Oversee all aspects of parts sales, including both over-the-counter sales and sales related to work orders. This includes developing and executing an annual sales plan, coordinating with clients to understand and meet their needs, ensuring accurate sales transaction billing and documentation, and providing department performance reports and metrics.
- Inventory Management- Maintain an organized and up-to-date inventory of spare parts, tooling, and equipment, including monitoring inventory levels and ensuring necessary parts are in stock, while preventing overstock or shortages.
- Location Coordination- Oversee parts sales, shipping, receiving, and inventory control at our main parts hub in Salt Lake City as well as all satellite locations. This requires effective communication and coordination to ensure that each location has the necessary parts available when needed.
- AOG Situations- Respond swiftly and coordinate with team members to provide the necessary parts and support to resolve AOG situations promptly. AOG (Aircraft on Ground) situations are critical and require rapid response.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities-
- Communication- Continuous communication with both the management team and customers is key. Keeping team members and management informed about inventory levels, sales trends, and any challenges helps in strategic decision-making. Regular communication with customers regarding their orders, availability of parts, and updates on AOG situations helps build trust and maintain customer satisfaction.
- Customer Service- Providing excellent customer service is a cornerstone of this role. Understanding customer needs, offering suitable solutions, and ensuring customers receive the correct parts on time contributes to customer loyalty and positive business relationships.
- Problem Solving- Challenges related to inventory discrepancies, unexpected demand, supply chain disruptions, and more can arise. Solutions based problem-solving skills are required to efficiently and effectively tackle these situations.
- Data Analysis- Monitoring sales data, inventory turnover rates, and demand patterns is essential for optimizing inventory levels and ensuring that the right parts are readily available. Data analysis helps in making informed decisions related to procurement and sales strategies.
Education & Experience-
- 5 years’ experience in aircraft procurement, shipping, and inventory control required. Front-facing customer service experience preferred.
- Must be computer literate and knowledgeable of the MS Office and Google suite of applications with a working knowledge of Corridor (or similar software) preferred.
- Fluency in English with a strong emphasis on writing to ensure proper and accurate handling of aircraft parts documentation.
- High School diploma required. Bachelors preferred.
Schedule & Travel-
- A typical work week includes five 8-hour days; however, availability after hours and on weekends and holidays is required to meet customer requirements.
- Travel required to support business development, client satisfaction, and coordination with satellite locations including periodic inventory and procedural audits.
Miscellaneous-
- FLSA Status: Full-time salary-exempt
- Much of each shift will be performed while standing or walking and includes reaching overhead, bending, and lifting of up to 50 pounds. Must have the ability to work in all types of weather conditions.
- Position may require FAA-mandated drug pre-employment screening.
