Location: Du Quoin/Carbondale IL (Grow Facility in Du Quoin, Dispensary in Carbondale)
Position: Compliance Manager
Job: The Compliance Manager for IL will be responsible for the ongoing operational compliance of all facilities within the state; reporting and addressing any deficiencies and working with the CCO to implement corrective and preventative actions. Additionally, the Compliance Manager will be responsible for the preparation of staff and facilities for regulatory inspections, day-to-day compliance help desk, and the implementation of any third party SaaS for inventory tracking.
Shift: 5 day work weeks. 8am-5pm Monday - Friday
Pay: 50K DOE Annually Paid Bi-Weekly

Duties and Responsibilities:
-Coordinate regulatory inspections for site, room, or equipment changes, and conduct regular compliance audits across all dispensaries, cultivation, and processing facilities, in collaboration with key teams
Act as the company’s key representative for state cannabis regulatory examinations and inspections, coordinating responses to findings and proactively communicating any exceptions or concerns to minimize risks
Maintain in-depth knowledge of state cannabis laws to ensure full compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures
Guide the development and compliance of state-specific SOPs for retail, cultivation, and manufacturing, ensuring efficient implementation and consistency through continuous oversight and regular employee training
Collaborate cross functionally to ensure new products and marketing materials meet compliance standards and state-specific regulations
Cross department collaboration with Security, Retail, Operations, and Finance to ensure systems and procedures are in working order
Clearly and effectively communicate compliance issues and guidance to employees while professionally managing relationships with regulators and inspectors
Responsible for the timely and accurate submission of all reporting requirements across the State of Illinois
-Coordinate with the finance department for the timely submission of all licensing payments.
-Research and review applicable statutes and regulations within governing jurisdictions in order to complete licensing requirements.
-Maintain detailed database of all licenses, cannabis applications, and renewal applications
-Communicate with regulators as needed pertaining to license renewal, commencement, and change requests.
- General compliance support pertaining to cannabis licenses and change requests
- Assist with collecting and preparing due diligence documentation from public sources in coordination with the CCO and 3rd parties.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-College degree preferred but not required
-Past Cannabis Compliance work is required
-Is familiar with Windows, Microsoft Office and Google Drive in great detail. (Excel, Sheets, Word)
-Advanced knowledge of Adobe Acrobat
-Ability to understand and read complex contract language
-Ability to track and execute multiple projects simultaneously with varying deadlines
-Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other departments and team members.
-Ability to interpret local, state, and federal laws and regulations as the relate to licensing.
