The primary purpose of the Financial Coordinator position is to manage and organize resident account services, ensuring they are provided in accordance with the facility's established policies, procedures, applicable laws, and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and ensure confidentiality of all resident care and financial information.
- Ensure that all residents approved for admission to the facility are properly admitted in the system.
- Maintain accurate and orderly written and electronic records.
- Collect and verify admissions documentation against pre-admission information, following up on any inconsistencies or issues.
- Document and regularly follow up on efforts to collect accounts receivable.
- Implement and monitor the facility’s established system for receiving, holding, distributing, and accounting for residents.
- Handle Medicaid application submissions.
- Use the Medi system to enter PSs, check eligibility, and run inquiries.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience in long-term nursing facility care billing, or a similar healthcare facility, is preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination required (Religious and/or Health Exemptions may be available for qualifying employees).
