Legal Operations & Risk Management Specialist (Permanent)
Location: 5 days a week onsite within commuting distance to Chicago (Hoffman Estates), Illinois.
Compensation - up to 85K (DOE) bonus
Are you a highly motivated Legal Operations whiz located within commuting distance of the Chicago, IL, suburbs? In this critical role for our customer, you will play a key role in managing Legal Operations and Risk Management. This role requires 5 days a week on-site in Hoffman Estates, IL, and you will be allowed 2 days per month to work from home.
Responsibilities
- Maintain Legal Matter management system.
- Assist with creation and generation of reports.
- Ensure matters and documents are classified and organized correctly.
- Provide support on legal projects or projects that require legal support.
- Review Legal spending and budgeting.
- Provide support to Outside Counsel management.
- Track spending, billing practices and general Counsel management.
- Provide process improvements within legal team operations.
- Creating master agreements.
- General assistance with M&A, due diligence collection, organization, and APA negotiation.
- Legal Governance.
- Entity Management.
- Assist tax department with management of CT Corp.
- Managing insurance applications, supporting documentation, and reports.
- Insurance vendor management.
- Assist to receive, review, negotiate, and execute NDA’s as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years’ work experience required (Experienced non-managerial).
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Licensed Notary Public (Preferred)
- Specific Skills - Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, Legal Files, ISN, Avetta, Adobe Sign.

Salary : $80,000 - $85,000
