DataStage Developer

This position requires an ACTIVE SECRET security clearance.  Your application will not be reviewed if you do not have an ACTIVE security clearance at SECRET or above. 

Elevate Government Solutions is a high growth Technology Services company focused on driving technological change in the government space. Our teams engage with various government agencies to develop and deploy emerging technology solutions using a tailored Agile methodology. 

We are seeking a seasoned, highly motivated and intellectually curious DataStage Developer to join our team working with a Federal client. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ETL with IBM Infosphere Datastage, specifically v11.7, NextGen Anywhere, QualityStage, and will be proficient in DataStage installations on AWS as well as AWS RDS (Postgres and Oracle).

The position will be a remote role open to US citizens residing in the United States with an ACTIVE SECRET security clearance. 

Responsibilities and Duties

• Develop and optimize DataStage ETL jobs. 

• Investigate, cleanse and manage data with QualityStage.

• Deliver DataStage solutions with DataStage Anywhere. 

• Work with DataStage installations on AWS.

• Manage cloud data with AWS RDS (Postgres and Oracle). 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable and secure solutions.

• Monitor and optimize ETL resources to ensure cost-effectiveness, performance, and reliability.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to DataStage.

• Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices in cloud operations.

• Provide documentation, training, and support to internal teams and clients as needed.

• Stay current with the latest DataStage features, best practices, and industry trends.

• Work in a fast-paced Agile environment with fluid requirements and changing priorities.

• Respond to technical issues in a professional and timely manner.

• Work closely with customers to implement and/or consult requested solutions.

• Possess considerable logic and understanding to analyze and troubleshoot problems.

• Must be able to work independently with little to no daily supervision, is a team player, open to ideas and learning.

• Work in a distributed team environment where team members are spread across numerous locations and often communicate virtually to support clients.

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

• Required skills:

  • Ability to work with US Federal clients and possess an ACTIVE SECRET clearance

  • Experience with developing and optimizing DataStage ETL jobs

  • Experience working with IBM Infosphere DataStage v11.7

  • Experience with working with IBM Infosphere QualityStage

  • Experience working with DataStage NextGen, Anywhere preferred

  • Experience working with DataStage installations on AWS

  • Experience working with AWS RDS (Postgres and Oracle)

  • Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Desired skills:

  • IBM Certified Solution Developer - InfoSphere DataStage

  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment

  • Experience with enterprise-level deployments and managing cloud environments.

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Ability to take the initiative to complete tasks with minimal supervision

  • Skilled in verbal, written and oral communication

  • Strong team player with a great attitude

  • Flexibility and willingness to go beyond the call of duty. Highly self-motivated and directed.  (a go getter)

  • Ability to take ownership and drive issues to closure

Education Requirement:

• 4 year Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Eng or related (highly preferred)
