Baer is looking for a DataStage Developer for a 12 month Federal remote project.

Location : Remote (Must be based in US)
Duration : 12 months
Rate : Hourly Plus Expenses Reimbursed
Alignment : W2 Only (C2C Not Permitted)
Description :
- Develop, test, and optimize ETL jobs using IBM Infosphere DataStage to transform, load, and integrate data across multiple platforms.
- Design and implement data integration workflows using DataStage to support data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
- Ensure the efficient processing of large datasets, optimizing DataStage jobs for performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide technical solutions using DataStage.
- Utilize IBM Infosphere QualityStage for data quality validation, cleansing, and profiling to ensure high-quality data is integrated into systems.
- Work with DataStage NextGen and Anywhere environments to implement modern data integration workflows, if applicable.
- Manage and support DataStage installations on AWS, ensuring compatibility and smooth operations in cloud-based environments.
- Perform database administration and integration tasks with AWS RDS, working with Postgres and Oracle databases.
- Debug and resolve issues related to ETL processes, job performance, and data integrity.
- Work closely with business analysts and data architects to define data transformation rules and requirements.
- Maintain detailed documentation of ETL processes, job designs, and system configurations.
- Ensure that all DataStage ETL jobs are implemented following best practices, security standards, and quality guidelines.
- Proven experience in developing and optimizing ETL jobs using IBM Infosphere DataStage.
- Strong experience with IBM Infosphere DataStage v11.7, including design, implementation, and optimization of ETL jobs.
- Experience with IBM Infosphere QualityStage for data quality tasks such as cleansing, validation, and profiling.
- Familiarity with DataStage NextGen or Anywhere environments is highly preferred.
- Experience with DataStage installations and configurations in AWS environments, including cloud-based deployments.
- Solid experience working with AWS RDS, including Postgres and Oracle databases.
- Strong SQL skills, particularly for writing complex queries and optimizing them for large-scale data processing.
- Experience in debugging and troubleshooting DataStage jobs and resolving performance bottlenecks.
- Bachelor's Degree
