Responsibilities and Duties:
- Elevate Leadership: Mentor and develop team members by setting clear performance expectations, conducting regular performance reviews, and fostering a culture of continuous growth. Lead interviewing and selection activities to build a skilled team, provide constructive feedback through coaching conversations, and proactively address performance concerns to ensure an engaged and high-performing workforce.
- Elevate Portfolio Management: Lead operational teams across maintenance and property inspections by providing clear direction and ensuring consistent execution of company standards. Manage inspection compliance, oversee vendor partnerships, address resident escalations, and relay property needs to support operational excellence and enhance the resident experience.
- Elevate Financial and Safety Management: Oversee capital spending projects in coordination with leasing and asset management, ensuring alignment with budget guidelines and business objectives. Review financial performance regularly, collaborate with leadership to control expenses, and implement strategies to maximize profitability. Enforce safety protocols among staff and vendors to maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Elevate General Operations: Travel to properties as needed to support on-site teams, evaluate operational effectiveness, and implement process improvements. Collaborate with corporate staff to refine policies and procedures, meet or exceed performance metrics, and foster teamwork across departments. Provide regular portfolio updates to the executive leadership team on occupancy, accounts receivable, expenses, and resident concerns, taking ownership of responsibilities to align operations with company goals.
Who You Are:
- Elevated Leader: With 5-7 years of experience in operations management, you have a proven ability to lead teams, drive performance, and make strategic decisions that align with business goals. Prior property management experience is a plus, but your results-driven leadership sets you apart.
- Elevated Problem Solver: You excel at navigating the daily challenges of property management with a proactive and decisive approach. Whether addressing operational inefficiencies, overcoming obstacles, or guiding your team through complex situations, you take swift and effective action. You anticipate issues before they arise, adapt to shifting priorities, and ensure that every decision supports the long-term success of the properties and teams you oversee.
- Elevated Organization: You thrive in fast-paced environments, balancing high-level strategy with hands-on problem-solving. Managing multiple priorities, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring operational efficiency are second nature to you.
- Elevated Communication: Your ability to communicate clearly and professionally allows you to build strong relationships with employees, vendors, and stakeholders at all levels. You are comfortable handling sensitive information, resolving conflicts, and providing guidance to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years’ experience in a leadership and operations management role.
- Prior experience in property management is a plus.
- Proven ability to critically think and make quick decisions.
- Proven effective and results driven leadership.
- Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and collaborate with internal and external teams.
- Ability to travel to other regions as necessary.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to communicate in writing and verbally with all levels of employees and vendors.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite products including Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive and/or confidential information.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
