About the Job
The Elevated AV Jr Installation technician is responsible for executing various Elevated AV tasks, low-voltage technician practices, and large-scale rigging/hanging of equipment across a wide range of projects. Some travel is expected as our client base is located primarily out east and NY Metro area. Due to the extensive scope of our projects, overtime may be required and rewarded with OT compensation and additional time off.
Our AV installation techs are located on Long Island NY and employees are expected to have their own transportation to commute to and from work. When working locally, you may be commuting to job sites within 35 miles of Elevated AV offices in East Quogue.

Duties
- Install, configure, and maintain audio-visual equipment including projectors, sound systems, and video conferencing tools.
- Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance on all AV equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to audio-visual systems in a timely manner.
- Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings to facilitate installation and repairs.
- Collaborate with other technicians and team members to execute projects effectively.
- Utilize tools such as voltmeters to test electrical connections and ensure safety standards are met.
- Provide field service support for clients as needed, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Skills
- Proficiency in cabling techniques for audio-visual installations.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to AV equipment setup and maintenance.
- Familiarity with electrical systems, including low voltage applications.
- Ability to telecommunicate effectively with team members and clients regarding technical issues.
- Experience with E & I (Electrical & Instrumentation) processes is a plus.
- Competence in reading schematics and understanding technical documentation.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
